ENROUTE
in collaboration with Yue Xu
ENROUTE is a one-day public art event that transforms Chicago’s public spaces into an open-air gallery and performance space. Bringing together local artists working across drawing, photography, sculpture, sound, and performance, ENROUTE creates temporary, site-responsive exhibitions that engage directly with outdoor architecture and landscape. By emphasizing ephemerality and care for public space, all artworks and performances are designed to leave no physical trace, foregrounding presence, experience, and collective movement rather than permanent installation. ENROUTE encourages audiences to encounter art through walking, activating familiar environments in unexpected ways that create shared and memorable experiences that enrich the lives of Chicagoans and enhance their connection with our city.We are currently preparing for the 2027 iteration. If you are interested in being involved, HERE is more information about the project.
